A Month in New York // Part 2

Let’s continue our ride on the arunhasablog.com time machine! This is part 2 of my series of posts about my month in New York last year. See the last one here.

The month was packed. The day after I landed, I met up with the Lambdas at American Whiskey. Their duckfat tater tots are to die for. Give them a try.

As always, connecting with old friends reminds me that I left a piece of my heart back in New York.

Izakaya Mew
Midtown West, Manhattan, New York

One of my first late night adventures in the city with my partners in crime, Justin and Vinny, was a night out at Izakaya Mew. Let’s size this place up. Slightly obscure underground location? Check. Comfortable, yet modern atmosphere? Check. Perfectly executed menu? Double check.

I can’t tell you if Mew fulfills the definition of an authentic Izakaya, but I can tell you that I will be going back. Warning: Don’t look at their menu if you are hungry. The beautiful photos will make you salivate. Actually, don’t continue reading this if you are hungry. These photos might also make you salivate.
