I tried going to twitter.com, but lo and behold, twitter redirects to the Stanford University homepage. Seems the homepage got hacked.

The Twitter service seems to be down as well. Here is what I get when I try to post using Tweetie.

This only comes a day after all the Gawker sites experienced a DDoS attack. Is this the Internet apocalypse? Probably not. It is still really annoying.

Update: As Jeffrey pointed out, it was a DNS problem. Twitter wasn’t hacked.
