A Month in New York // Part 4
Alas, this is my final post about my month in New York. Better (9 months) late than never. Right? If you haven’t yet, read part 1, part 2 and part 3.
Ok. Let’s get started.
Plano Reunion
Jeff and Dustin used my time in New York as an excuse to visit New York for a weekend. We got a bunch of friends from Plano together for pizza and drinks.

Nan Xiang Dumpling House
The next day, Vinny, Eric, Dustin, Jeff and I met up with Bo and Krista for brunch at Nan Xiang Dumpling House. After eating, Caroline drove us to JFK for the main attraction that brought us all to Queens.

Open House New York – TWA Flight Center
We were all in queens to visit the TWA Flight Center, a historical building designed by Eero Saarinen. The building is usually closed, but it was open to the public for several hours on one day.
Open House New York describes itself as “a 501(c)3 organization that promotes a greater appreciation of the city’s built environment; broadens public awareness by exposing diverse audiences to distinctive examples of architecture, engineering and design; educates and inspires discussion of issues of excellence in design, planning and preservation; and showcases outstanding new work as well as structures of historic merit.”
Saarinen is one of my favorite historical figures. He was both one of the best architects and industrial designers. You may not recognize his name, but you have surely seen some of his works like the Gateway Arch and Tulip Chair.

I hope these posts are ok. I’m trying to catch up to the present. So, future posts will have more photos and fewer words. Thanks for reading!
